I just realized I should probably start up my kegel(sp?) exercises again. I stopped when I got the surgery, and haven’t gotten back to them. Hmmm, that may also help with the pain in certain respects... Tra lala! In other new I slept in this morning, no class today because my teacher is out of town. I think I finally caught up with all the sleep I lost from staying up super late talking to oaksong. (not that I’m complaining... :: squish :: ;) Once I take my shower and pick up my room a little, I have to go run a bunch of errands that I never get around to while rushing to or from class and work. List of things that need to be done: Clean room Cash paycheck Put money in checking account Return 3 week overdue book to library Get on knees and beg them to forgive me Ask about donating large encyclopedia set Make fresh sourdough bread Put away sour starter Do homework Go to work early Weeee! I am so happy and bouncy right now I feel like I could FLY. Tee hee Tags: bodywork, bookworm, food, money, platypus Current Mood: content

New Year's resolutions: 1) I WILL NOT begin any more knitting projects until I finish at least two of the projects already on the needles. This includes buying yarn. 2) I will still do the knitting challenge I posted about earlier, despite the recent goings on between me and the receiving party. 3) I will exercise and actually stick to it. 4) I will eat healthier than I have been. 5) As per 3 & 4 I will reach 200 lbs by my birthday (March 29) and be at least 160 (or lower) by the end of June, if not earlier. 6) I will have a job. 7) I will save money, but also make a better effort to actually spend time with my friends in Oswego and other places outside of Watertown. 8) I will read more. There are more I will probably think of later. But really I don't have to (and shouldn't) wait until the new year to make resolutions to better myself. So just because they aren't listed here doesn't mean I won't/can't hold to them. Tags: bodywork, bookworm, holidays, knitting, money, work Current Mood: optimistic

I bought the kitten some toys today from the dollar store, and then got him and Boogs some new belled collars at Wal-Mart. That way the kitten can't sneak up on Boogs, and Bogs's was getting shredded by his scratching. A red one for the kitten, and a blue one for Boogs. I talked it over with mom tonight, and since the new kitten has obviously claimed grandmother, and nobody really liked his old name, we told grandma to rename him. His name is now Rusty. Much better. Today Rusty and Boogs spent about an hour sitting and staring at each other, growling and meowing every once in a while. Rusty keeps trying to pounce and play, but Boogs wants no part in it. And sometimes he'll box Rusty so he goes tumbling. So cute, that's the same way Bogs and Frisky were when Boogs was new. So I'm sure they will get alon eventually. I stopped by the vet's today to check on prices and specifics about when/how of neutering and declawing (all our cats are declawed in the front paws so they don't hurt each other or the dog when they play, and won't destroy the furniture, they still have their back claws and that's what cats usually use when fighting, so they aren't totally defenseless), and shots if we can't get the papers, or if they aren't as up to date as the old owners said. And anyways I want to get him a full checkup. (Stats here so I remember too) They want to wait to do the declawing and neutering in one sitting so they only have to anesthetize him once, it would be an over night stay and $160. But he has to be at least 4-5 lbs for the neutering, and we don't think he's even close to that yet. So we have to wait for that. Before surgery they wanna do some blood work, which would be $22. A distemper shot and exam would be $28 A Rabies shot and exam would be $20.50 Both shots together and exam would only be $41, so it's a deal. Hopefully Tia will get me the papers and such from the old owners for me tomorrow, so I know how much I have to get together For Rusty's visit. I promised my parents that I would take care of all the technical stuff for him; it was part of my begging to keep him. I put in an application at Hot Topic the other day, and I'm really hopeful on that, and a job would be very helpful. I need to remember to stop in a few other places that were hiring. Just got back, had a nice little exam. Got me some BC pills. Yay! It was really nice, they listened to my questions and answered them, and even told me about some new types of Birth Control. I almost burst out laughing when the nurse practitioner closed the door sat me down after the exam and began whispering to me, I though she was going to say something about an abnormal exam or something... Nope, She wanted to tell me that I can get my pills and exam for free (other than what my dad's insurance will pay) if I tell them that I don't have a job. Even though I'm still living with my parents, Hehe. It was great, so I didn't even have to pay anything today. Top that off with the woman behind the desk stuffing like, a million lifestyles coloured condoms into the bag w/ my pills. (As if I'll eve need them, I haven't gotten laid in far too long, and it doesn't look like I'll be getting any in the near future either.) Tags: money, vagina Current Mood: cheerful

Never ever plan to actually be able to do anything associated with Down Town Watertown during the farmers market. GAH! Mom has been pestering me to go to Planned Parenthood to see about setting up an appt for an exam and to get more pills (yay regulated period!) because I am no longer under her insurance, dad's insurance doesn't cover exams or pills :: shakes fist at HMO Blue :: and I don't have that much cash to be throwing away ($30-$40 a month to be on my pills, and that's the cheep brand) I also needed to take money out of the Credit Union and move it to my HSBC checking account so I can buy the stuff I need for my culinary class (over $190 worth of knives, carriers, clothes, and that stupid hat thing.) So I drive downtown after class and I'm driving around for like 20 min looking for a parking spot, NOTHING! Not even a spot in the Credit Union parking lot, let alone the public parking lot by Planned Parenthood and HSBC. So I tell her this when she asks, and she yells at me as if I haven't even gone! Jesus mom, its not like I don't wanna get his stuff done, I just have to wait until tomorrow when downtown isn't covered in psycho farmers market shoppers. Whew. Well it looks like my classes so far are going to be pretty interesting and I might actually do well in marketing. :D I still have two other classes that I haven't been to, but they look promising since I already know the teacher is pretty cool. Yesterday was wicked busy, after my first class I took Momo to Oswego to help her move in. after everything was moved in we went to the global buffet, which was really nice, I liked it there, I stuffed myself silly. But when we came out there was a ticket on my car. Apparently it needed to be inspected. Even though Dad swears that it had been check out recently. After helping Momo re-arrange some stuff I headed home, I still had my evening class; I took a short nap before hand and then ran off to class. When I came home I showed dad the ticket and my parents are going to pay it since it was their problem. Dad took my car to be inspected today and we found out that I need to have about $1000 worth of work done on it so it could pass. It was mostly a bunch of little stuff, seals and hoses taken by dry rot, my emergency break lines were corroded and some work is needed on my normal breaks as well. Well I kinda need the car to get to class, so they are having the work done and I should be finished by Thursday for my evening class, until then dad needs to give me rides. I don't want to loose my car, I LIKE my baby. But dad says in a year or so I'm going to have to buy myself a new car. And to get a car I'll need a credit card (need good credit) and of course a damned good car. Blech, MORE bills. :: whimper :: Tags: family, friends, money, skool Current Mood: calm What's Playing?: Kansas - Carry On My Wayward Son

Cleaned up a little in my room, started doing laundry... boy I really miss the multiple washing machines at school, it was always so much quicker there. Also started sorting through my old clothes to get rid of some and make more drawer space. I seem to collect t shirts, its weird, they just sort of multiply... :-\ Went to the bank today and cashed my last check from school, now the pressure is really on I need to find a job or I am gonna be po' for the rest of the summer. :( Working on my Japanese a little more, once you actually get past memorizing the kanas the culture behind the vocab. It's really interesting, and the sentence structure isn't really that hard (easier than English or Spanish) although there are still little things that don't make sense but all languages have those. (Except for maybe Esperanto, but I haven't looked into that yet.) Still have to work on Kanji...:: shudder :: I read somewhere that most of the time spent in school for the Japanese is spent learning kanji. And even then nobody really knows all of it (there's over 50,000 separate kanji) Tags: linguaphile, money Current Mood: accomplished What's Playing?: birdies outside going tweet, tweet!

After playing Nightpawn with Brandon I’ve really begun to like the flexibility and settings of Palladium, and then I found out that they had a TMNT system too, so I had to go out and get a copy for myself, and a few more Palladium supplements. And now I’m planning much evil-ness for my players, Ok maybe not that evil, but I definably am having fun planning everything, and I love playing with these guys anyways. It’s gonna be totally fun. In other news, I am an incredibly boring person. Blah. Not much else going on, tomorrow is quest day, yay no classes! Brandon, nokomis1339 and I are planning a fun filled night of movies mayhem and all ‘round great times, ‘cus we don’t have to worry about getting up early in the morning. I went out yesterday to get more soda for the room, and also picked up some honey for my Chai tea. So now I have this giant honey bear sitting on my desk staring at me... its kind of creepy, he looks so yummy... yet disturbing all at the same time. The lady who checked me out must have thought I was really weird, but then again, it is a college town. See I bought 6 cases of the cheap soda, a bear full of honey, and these cushiony pad things for women’s shoes. (See I have these great high heeled shoes, but there is absolutely no cushion or support to them, and if I wear them for too long my feet really start to hurt and I get blisters on my big toes. But I really like wearing them. (yeah, yeah TMI :p)) and that was it, then I had to buy everything separately because I was paying from three different sources, 5 cases of soda from the soda money, one for riki_kiki_taco, and the honey and cushions for me. See? Now isn’t that boring? Yep, I knew it. No wonder nobody ever comments in my journal... Blah I feel so un-loved :p Tags: bodywork, food, friends, money Current Mood: dorky What's Playing?: Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Love Roller Coaster
